Sundays on site: 3:00pm-5:00pm

The 4th-5th grade curriculum on Sundays will focus on Jewish History (Our Place in the World, Jewish Identity, How did we get here?); Hebrew and prayers. 

Because this combined class is on a two-year cycle, last school year (2022-2023) focused on the Jewish life cycle, Jewish rituals and perspectives of this grand experience of being human. 

Tuesdays on site for 4th - 7th Grades: 4:30pm-6:30pm

In addition to Sundays on site at Nevei Kodesh, the 4th-7th graders meet on Tuesday afternoons for additional enrichment. The students are placed in Hebrew groups according to their Hebrew knowledge.

The class begins with all grades together for community connection, followed by breakout rooms with their teachers for Hebrew literacy and comprehension and then grade-specific learning.

On Tuesdays, the 4th-5th graders will focus on learning Hebrew prayers and creating their own illustrated prayer books. They will explore, reflect and discuss the deeper meanings of the prayers, making them their own.  

Tuesday Hebrew is taught by Lael Har and Kat Hubbard.
