Beiteynu: Our New Home
The “Beiteynu – A Home of Our Own” Campaign continues to move forward -- now, with renewed vigor and focus. With our new short term goal of firmly planting our roots into an appropriate existing space within the next 6-12 months, we will still have room to grow while ensuring the long-term sustainability of our Nevei Kodesh family.
Having a home of our own is more than just having a roof over our heads. In reality, “It’s not about the building. It’s about building community.” Having Beiteynu is a priority of the membership as it will catalyze many of our community’s major goals. Most importantly, it will offer, among other things, a central place to gather for prayer and meditation, simchas and life cycle celebrations, classes and other programming, interactions with community members, and meetings with the rabbi.
This is consistent with the goals of our community’s new strategic plan for the future. The plan, in addition to the goal of having a building, calls for
(1) fostering a community culture of belonging, caring, generosity, and self-motivation;
(2) establishing a strong infrastructure
(3) improving the integration of Beit Sefer Chadash with Nevei Kodesh
(4) boosting membership to abundantly support the needs of the congregation;
(5) creating comprehensive programming to meet the varied needs of a multi-generational, multi-faceted membership
