Havurot and Affinity Groups

At the core of Jewish renewal, a havurah is a small group of individuals and families who celebrate, play and pray together. Havurot (plural) provide a more intimate experience than is possible in our larger congregation. Each havurah has a unique focus. Some of our school families also form small affinity/ social groups on their own.

Below are a list of current havurot and small groups. They are usually open to new members although at times they are full.

Fourth Friday Havurah Style Shabbat: Welcome in Shabbat in an intimate setting. Small teaching and vegetarian potluck dinner. Members take turns leading. Nevei Kodesh, 3269 28th St. Please bring a dish to shre.

Other groups form depending on members' interest. Please let us know if you'd like to help start a new group. Contact Dena Gitterman.
