At a time when each day brings more news of devastating plans and proclamations from Trump and his administration, it is more important than ever that we get together to build community, power and strategy to respond and resist. IfNotNow has been a driving force behind the #JewishResistance protests and actions in recent months speaking out against Trump and his appointments and the mainstream institutional Jewish community’s silence and complicity.

IfNotNow is a movement to end the American Jewish community's support for the occupation, fighting for freedom and dignity for all Israelis and Palestinians. IfNotNow emerged during the Summer of 2014 amidst the incredible violence of the Gaza war and continued several months of successful mobilization. A core group spent a year developing the blueprint for a popular movement of Jews who know that the only way to ensure a vibrant future for our community is to fight for freedom and dignity for all people -- and now we’re training folks to be part of it.

Interest in joining IfNotNow has skyrocketed since Trump's election; throughout the winter and spring, we are bringing the movement to cities across the country, running small, weekend-long orientation trainings on our movement DNA - our collective strategy, story, and structure - that will ensure unity for our movement as we grow to scale.

Our President’s weekend training will integrate Colorado Jews into IfNotNow’s unified movement framework. The two day training will present the unified vision of IfNotNow: our shared strategy, story and structure. We'll leave the training with a series of actions planned and a structure with which we'll easily be able to incorporate other people.

IfNotNow welcomes and celebrates our community's vast diversity of identities and experiences. We are building a diverse, vibrant Jewish network -- across spectrums of race, class, culture (Mizrachi, Sephardic, and Ashkenazi), sexuality, gender identity, ability status, nation of origin, and age -- and are working to prioritize Jews who have identities that have been marginalized by the mainstream community.

We're working hard to bring together a group of people we respect and trust, and who also represent different enough parts of the Jewish world so that this movement can appeal to all types of Jews from the start.

So, all that said, are you free the weekend of February 19th and 20th? The training will be all day Saturday and most of Sunday (til about 6pm). It is likely our training will be hosted at a location in Boulder. We will update you on this as soon as plans are solidified.

If you’re able to make it, please sign-up on our registration form linked below. It includes a few logistical questions to ensure we're able to meet your dietary, ability, and transportation needs. Additionally, the form asks how much you're willing/able to contribute financially (the requested range is $25-50 for the weekend) toward food, host-space, and travel costs though nobody will be turned away for lack of funds.
