Simchat Torah services, led by Rabbi Hannah Laner
Monday, October 24, 2016 • 22 Tishrei 5777
6:00 PM - 9:00 PMNevei Kodesh SanctuaryLed by Rabbi Hannah Laner, with help from Rav Bracha, Sheldon Sands, musicians and friends. Join us for a joyous mystical evening as we celebrate the completion of the annual Torah cycle with music and dance embodying the kabbalistic Tree of Life. We will include a "Torah I-Ching" oracle ritual to help us find personal guidance for the coming year. This is our annual opportunity to celebrate the holy Torah, as we conclude the cycle of readings, unroll the entire Torah scroll, experience our personal oracles, and begin the cycle afresh. Simchat Torah is also an opportunity for us to celebrate our bnai mitzva families, teachers, elders and leaders in study.
This is a family oriented event. UPDATE: Free childcare will be available for little ones, provided by NK's ShabbaTots leader & Assistant School Director Jorie Ciesla.
Special refreshments sponsored by Barbralu Cohen, in loving memory of her mother Selma Cohen on her yahrzeit; you are welcome to bring a dessert, juice or spring water to share!
Come make it a fantastic night, with joy, music, dancing and learning.
