The Days of Awe: Rosh HaShana (New Year) and Yom Kippur (Day of At-One-Ment)

Join us at the beautiful Unity of Boulder Spiritual Center, located at the junction of Folsom and Edgewood, to experience our amazing Jewish Renewal-style High Holy Day services. Unity’s space boasts a 500-person air-conditioned Sanctuary with a glassed in "cry room," an outdoor creek-side worship space and sacred labyrinth, and numerous rooms for meditation, chanting, yoga and teen and children's programming.

Over the course of the Days of Awe, participants pray, sing, drum, move their bodies and open their hearts as they set their deepest intentions for the year to come. Supported by our spectacular musical ensemble, worshippers find themselves going higher and higher, deeper and deeper - held in the bosom of a loving, accepting community.  All liturgy is provided in easy to follow format, with English phonetics and translations.

5778: September 22, 2017, 9:30 am - 1 pm

On the second day of Rosh HaShana, we head up into the mountains to the spectacular Shoshoni retreat center.  There we spend the morning in deep kirtan-style prayer and devotional song, offering our prayers for personal and collective healing. We conclude our service with shofar-blowing, kiddush and tashlich (the release of old karma) at the lake, following which participants can choose to share in a delicious vegetarian meal provided by the Shoshoni center. Shoshoni's grounds host many miles of trails through exquisite fall scenery, so many participants choose to augment their worship experience with a gorgeous afternoon hike. Outdoor Programming for older children and teens is available, as well as childcare for those under 5.

Please note that this is a separate event, not included in general membership or High Holy Day Guest passes.
