Wendy Miller
Wendy Miller was born and raised in Los Angeles. She came to Boulder in 2012 to raise her son Jackson in a sane and peaceful place. Wendy joined Nevei Kodesh 6 years ago. She immediately organized the Hannukkah Party, and from there she created (with her friend David Spiro) Jewish Broadway, the annual fundraiser for Nevei Kodesh. She has been in the show and chaired the event the past several years. Wendy has also been on the board of directors for the past 5 years. She is also on the Fundraising Committee and has helped raise thousands of dollars for Nevei Kodesh. Wendy has also performed in the Broadway Boomers the past 5 years and is currently in a spring show. Finally, Wendy has written a one woman show performed her show in May 2020. She's a huge theater and musical theater fan, spending most of her life listening to Broadway tunes.
Michael Mittleman
I am passionate about Renewal Judaism. After growing up in Providence, RI a conservative Jew and then raising my kids reform in NYC, I became bored of a religion that I thought was void of joy, spirit, and soul. I turned to Buddhism thinking this was the answer. However, I always knew I was a Jew. The conflict was very difficult to reconcile.
Then, I discovered Chochmat Halev, a renewal shul in Berkeley, CA when I spent a year in the Bay area. It opened my eyes to a Judaism that is rich in tradition that captures music, dancing, love, and spirit that I never knew. Congregation Nevei Kodesh was 1 of the 4 reasons I moved to Boulder. Ask me about the other three.
I joined the Board about a year ago, and am proud to be a part of a welcoming community and a Board that really cares about our future. I'm a career coach and give free job advice to new members!
