Lori and Monte Dube are Jewish Mindfulness Meditation teachers who have been married for 28 years and are in the midst of a reinvention journey. They just moved to Boulder from their home in Chicago after spending a year soaking up the many Jewish spirituality opportunities on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

Monte recently retired after a 35-year career practicing healthcare law, and just finished his 2-year term as Chair of the Board of American Jewish World Service, which included travels to Guatemala and Liberia.

Lori is a social worker and life coach who has helped people get back into the dating world after divorce and loss. In Chicago, Lori was part of a team that started Curt’s Cafe, a non-profit that provides job and life skills to at-risk youth.

In their first three-part class at Nevei Kodesh, “Waking Up through Elul” they will highlight mindfulness teachings drawn from Rabbi Alan Lew’s classic work “This is Real and Your are Completely Unprepared.” Lori and Monte will explore how prayer, meditation and "focusing on one thing” can help us prepare for the New Year.
