Yizkor means "may [G-d] remember], and is a special memorial prayer recited during Yom Kippur (and other holidays in the Jewish calendar) to honor the memory of and renew the connection with our departed loved ones. It is often customary to accompany Yizkor by performing acts of kindness and giving tzedakah (charity) in memory of our loved ones so that we may elevate their soul, as if they themselves performed these mitzvahs. On the High Holy Days, Yizkor donations embody both remembrance and renewal, in this time of reflection, compassion, and spiritual growth. We invite you to consider a yizkor donation that honors the memory of your loved ones who have passed.
