Indigenous Peoples in the Americas have used the term ‘Medicine Wheel’ as a sacred symbol to represent knowledge of the universe. It is a symbol of hope and healing for those who seek to be in right relationship to their inner and outer world. Hebrew wisdom, which began as an indigenous wisdom, has a version of this, in the calendar of Jewish practice. Torah teaches us a rhythm that can inform every element of our lives. -

In their first three-part class at Nevei Kodesh, “Waking Up through Elul” they will highlight mindfulness teachings drawn from Rabbi Alan Lew’s classic work “This is Real and Your are Completely Unprepared.” Lori and Monte will explore how prayer, meditation and "focusing on one thing” can help us prepare for the New Year. -
