Tuesday
Mar 5Women in the Torah with Maggid Charna Rosenholtz
Tuesday, Mar 5th 6:30p to 8:15p
Taught by Maggid Charna Rosenholtz. The Five Books of Moses are filled will stories, teachings, and laws. On first glance it appears that women were bit characters in the narrative, relegated to the background. Yet a careful reading shows there are over two dozen women who were keys in the unfolding tale. Their stories fill out the white spaces of the text, the whispered events in Torah. Over these three weeks we will explore the women’s stories and glean an understanding of their role in the development of Hebrew wisdom. Charna Rosenholtz, MA is an accomplished teacher, specializing in psychospiritual growth and applications of spiritual wisdom. Ordained as a Hebrew wisdom teacher (Maggid) by Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi and Rabbi Tirzah Firestone, she also holds a Masters Degree in Religious Studies from Naropa University in Boulder, CO. She has mentored with medicine women, clergy, and master teachers in relation to the development of human potential. Charna’s passion and skill helps develop an empowered learning environment. By utilizing technologies from Matrix Leadership Institute, Hakomi Institute, and Right Use of Power, she seamlessly weaves content and context, for a holistic educational experience, be it text study, ceremony and ritual or contemplative practice. Charna, currently a student in the Aleph Rabbinic Ordination Program, teaches along Colroado’s front range For more information, please contact Charna at charnarose@aol.com. -

Mar 9Shabbat Morning Service
Shabbat, Mar 9th 10:00a to 12:00p
Join us on the second Saturday of every month for Jewish Renewal Shabbat morning services, 10am - 12pm, followed by kiddush and a light meal. Using the principle of prayer as an ascent through four worlds of body, heart, consciousness and spirit, these services guide the community, young and old together, on a journey of expansion and connectedness. Through movement and embodied practice, singing, studying, meditation and intention, we climb higher and higher together. Services will conclude with kiddush and a light oneg meal at 12pm. This is an excellent opportunity to both learn the morning service and pray together. All are welcome. To sponsor an oneg, email keenan@neveikodesh.org -
