Friday night services are a primary gathering time for our community. With voices raised together, and the support of our circle of gifted spiritual musicians, we ride music, prayer and meditation toward the Divine. Join Rav Bracha, with Sheldon Sands and other gifted musicians, for a joyful, musical, prayerful Kabbalat Shabbat experience, as we celebrate beShallach and the miraculous crossing of the Red Sea. Ziva Moyal will give a dvar Torah teaching on the exodus as the initiation of slaves into being priests of God, and together we will step forwards into a new and deeper service of the divine. Our Kabbalat Shabbat and Maariv services are joyful, musical, meditative and thoughtful, and include a Torah teaching that brings a deep tradition into focus for the contemporary age. Families are welcome* - with childcare also available in the building - and we conclude by 8:45 with light oneg refreshments and challah. *Young people are welcome, and early in our service we bless the community’s children together; childcare for the duration of the service is provided free of charge, and families are welcome to come and go as needed.
