During this service, our community takes on the sacred legal practice of asking for release from vows that do not serve us. Our High Holy Days prayers, begun on Rosh Hashanah, deepen and become more urgent. We add the confessional practices (Vidui and Al Chet), and continue with the liturgy of the season: Avinu Malkeynu, 13 Middot, Zochreynu l’Chayyim, Pitchu Li, and more.
