Volunteers are needed!

Sukkot is a week-long holiday that comes five days after Yom Kippur. Sukkot celebrates the gathering of the harvest and commemorates the miraculous protection G‑d provided for the children of Israel when they left Egypt. We celebrate Sukkot by dwelling in a foliage-covered booth, known as a sukkah.

Please come help put up our beautiful sukkah! We have a permanent wood frame for our sukkah and we have materials in storage. We use bamboo rolls to serve as our roof and we secure the bamboo rolls with zip ties to withstand winds. Next, we hang sheets, cloths and curtains as walls. The ceiling and walls are decorated to celebrate the harvest. Building the sukkah is a ton of fun and we need lots of hands to make it happen! Thanks for volunteering to create our shared dwelling space!
