Zero Waste Tu B’shvat Seder at JCC

Sunday, February 9, 2020 14 Shevat 5780

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Tu B'Shevat is one of the four "New Years" in the Jewish Calendar. Literally the 15th of the Hebrew month Shevat, it celebrates the New Year of the Trees. As we prepare to celebrate earth's renewal, we invite the community to experience a Tu B'Shevat seder that explores the intersection of Zero Waste, Climate Change, and Jewish thought.

Neal Lurie, President of Resource Central, a conservation-focused nonprofit, will help frame our discussions. We'll also have an opportunity to learn more about Resource Central's programs, Boulder County initiatives, and how we can all be involved in helping affect global change locally.

A Tu B'Shvat seder, literally "order," is a festive experience where we share and celebrate seasonal fruits. Our seder will include vegan soup, tree fruits, and wine. $18 until 4 days before the event, $25
