Anchored in Jewish ethical tradition & community, Hope Into Practice is about liberation - linking personal healing with activism for justice. Penny's interactive book talk weaves a rich blend of stories with themes of anti-Semitism, racial justice, healing internalized anti-Semitism & ancestral trauma, human rights in Israel-Palestine, and Jewish multiculturalism. In these perilous times of rising white supremacy, racism, deportation of immigrants, misogyny and LGBT oppression, Penny's words are a call to repair the world!

Shabbat, Dec 22nd 4:00p to 5:45p
At seudah shlishit (the 3rd meal of Shabbat), we gather in community to study Torah, eat some food, and sing during the precious final hours of the sabbath. Our time together will conclude with havdallah, the ceremony of separation at the end of Shabbat. All are welcome. Please bring a vegetarian potluck dish to share. 4-5:45pm in the Social Hall downstairs -
