Rosh HaShanah Day One Torah Service/Musaf

Monday, September 26, 2022 1 Tishrei 5783

12:00 PM - 2:00 PMSanctuary

Rosh Hashanah ... it’s one of the most important Holy Days in the Jewish calendar. It's the Jewish New Year, anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve, a day of judgment and coronation. The Jewish New Year greetings reflect our prayers for a good, sweet year ahead. On the first night of Rosh Hashanah, we wish l'shanah tovah tikatevu v'techatemu: "May you be inscribed and sealed for a good year."

Rosh Hashanah is a Holy Day of celebration and introspection. The celebration includes festive meals with symbolic foods. The themes and theology of Rosh Hashanah are expressed through its symbols: apples and honey, the pomegranate, a round challah, the shofar or ram’s horn, and fish. Apples and honey express the wish for a sweet new year.

This event is in-person at Nevei Kodesh, and live-streamed on Zoom. To register for this event, please fill out a registration form below.
