The Performers:
Ian McPherson is a classically trained musician and has performed a wide variety of religious repertoire in many languages, including Lutheran choral music, sacred music from the renaissance era, and Israeli and Eastern-European Jewish music.
Ari Honarvar, born into a family of poets and poetry lovers, is an artist who blends calligraphy and paint to present Persian poetry. In performance, she brings forth the spirit of Rumi’s poems in the form of “deklameh,” the Persian art of becoming the poem.
