The World of Dreams
with Eve Ilsen, psychotherapist and rabbinic pastor

Just as great preparation for renewed life goes on in the dark, beneath the ground, so does our deepest work of making sense of our waking lives take place in the dark world of our dreams as we sleep.
As the weather changes and we prepare to go inward, particularly during this most bizarre and unusual period of pandemic and change, it is a perfect time to turn inward to the rich world of our dreams.
The work of my late teacher, Mme. Colette Aboulker-Muscat, explores what our dreams are telling us.  She taught not only the “opening” and unfolding of a dream, but also ways to make any necessary repair.  In this class, we will learn our traditional practices for entering and leaving the world of sleep and dream.  We will record our dreams, and unfold their riches together.

Supplies:
    ~ a blank unlined notebook
~ writing implement that you like
~15 minutes of time as soon as you waken every morning to record any
      memories from the dream world

Eve Ilsen is a psychotherapist and rabbinic pastor.  She has lived, worked, and learned in New York, Philadelphia, California, Alaska, and Israel.  She learned to work with imagery and waking dream daily with Mme. Collette Aboulker-Muscat in Jerusalem for four years.  Returning to the States, she spearheaded the Wisdom School with her late husband, Reb Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, and taught in tandem with him as well as her own classes.
