6:30 PM - 8:30 PMSanctuary

“…the wider the view, the less isolated we are. The more connected we stay to everything larger than us, the less turbulent our time on earth.” -Mark Nepo

The past two years have been particularly upsetting and traumatic for the Jewish community. It's been challenging to share our thoughts and feelings with each other. Our sense of connection with each other has suffered at a time when we needed it most.

This is why Nevei Kodesh is offering a series of monthly listening circles -  for us to share our thoughts and feelings, with respect, curiosity and care. Our intent is to help our community move away from paralysis and isolation, and towards connection, clarity and action.

We’re calling this series Ayeka Circle, invoking a Hebrew word from the Torah that means “Where are you?” At our first gathering on November 3, 15 community members explored our experiences and feelings about being Jewish, or Jewish-adjacent, in these challenging times.

At our second gathering, we’ll share our experiences and our feelings about antisemitism. Compared to past decades, antisemitism is at a high globally including in the United States.

We’ll gather on Monday evening, December 8 at Nevei Kodesh. Please arrive at 6:30 PM so you have time to grab a drink and a nosh so we can start promptly at 6:45 PM. We’ll wrap up at 8:00 PM with the option to linger afterwards.

Ayeka Circle is open to all Nevei Kodesh members and their guests. Please register below.

We look forward to seeing you there.
